In the game Phasmophobia, there are 13 unique maps, and during regular play, one of the seven Cursed Items is randomly placed on each map. If you’re not playing a special challenge or custom mode, you can only find one item per map, so examining all possible locations is the most straightforward method to figure out which item is present.

- Music Box: On a shelf in the nursery next to a bear plushie on your left when you enter the room.

In both the extensive and limited game versions, the seven Cursed Artifacts are always hidden in the same spots. These spots are all situated across the same general region, which happens to be a small chapel situated inside a larger structure.
Camp Woodwind

- Tarot Cards: On a picnic table to your left as soon as you enter the front gate.
- Music Box: Inside the yellow tent sitting on a small table on the right side.

The seven enchanted artifacts are arranged in a reversed U pattern throughout the entryway of the building. You’ll find the Tarot Cards on a seating area, the Ouija Board by a pillar on the floor, the Summoning Circle close to the room’s upper center point on the ground, the Voodoo Doll sitting on a bench in the back, the Haunted Mirror propped against another pillar, the Music Box on another seating area near the wall, and the Monkey Paw resting on a crate next to yet another pillar.
Maple Lodge Campsite
- Ouija Board: On a shelf in the small hallway between the bathrooms.
- Haunted Mirror: Hanging on the wall to your left inside the reception building.
- Voodoo Doll: Sitting on the ground near a log by the campfire near the west end of the map.
- Tarot Cards: On a cluttered picnic table in the picnic area in front of the cabin by the lake near the northeast end of the map.

Music Box
The Musical Trinket serves as a compact device that emits tunes to guide you towards the ghost’s whereabouts. Activating this trinket initiates a spooky melody, which the ghost harmonizes with. By following the spectral singing, you can pinpoint its location.
Voodoo Doll
The Voodoo Figure is a compact figurine equipped with pins that trigger supernatural responses from spirits once activated. With each activation of the Voodoo Figure, a pin gets pushed in, causing the spirit to perform an action. These actions could range from interfering with your gear, tossing objects around, or even opening doors.
As a gamer, I’ve got a Voodoo Doll with ten pins, and each time I use it, one pin gets picked at random. The catch is that if the pin on its heart gets selected, a cursed hunt kicks off right away. So every pin I press increases the odds of that particular pin being chosen for the unlucky draw.
Haunted Mirror
By activating the Haunted Mirror, you can discover the preferred room of the ghost since it provides a wide-angle view of the chosen area. Keep in mind that this doesn’t necessarily mean the ghost is presently there, but it offers valuable insight into where the ghost spends most of its time, suggesting you focus your equipment setup in that location.
Tarot Cards
In simpler terms, a Tarot Card deck consists of ten cards selected at random, each offering distinct interpretations. The meaning derived from the card depends on the one you draw, as every card within the deck carries its unique significance.
As a gamer, I’ll tell you this: Pulling that mysterious artifact is risky business. It’s got an unpredictable nature, capable of causing quite the stir in the game world. The consequences can swing either way – from restoring my sanity to summoning a spooky ghost event, kick-starting a ghost hunt on the spot, or even resurrecting a fallen player. So, tread lightly when you’re dealing with this enigmatic item!
Ouija Board
Inquiring further details about the spirit you’re pursuing can be facilitated by using a Ouija Board. This mysterious artifact can serve as a means to pose questions to the ghost, such as their location, age, and even your own mental stability. However, each inquiry draws from a different quantity of your sanity, so handle this object with caution to avoid accidentally instigating a chase.
Summoning Circle
You can utilize the Summoning Circle to transport and confine a spectral entity for a duration of five seconds. This technique is highly effective for capturing stunning ghost photos because they’re usually hard to spot. During these five seconds, the ghost won’t harm you, but beware as a cursed pursuit will commence immediately following the five-second time frame.
Monkey Paw
The Monkey Paw grants you the power to make requests with unpredictable results. It holds a multitude of potential impacts, such as reclaiming your mental balance, revealing spirits, resurrecting a defeated teammate, or manipulating the weather patterns.
